Maya has been in the field of education for nearly thirty years. Her areas of professional experience include conceptualizing, designing and implementing a wide range of school and teacher-related projects and services, including the Wipro Applying Thought in Schools Teacher Empowerment Project, initiated in 2001. In 1988, she set up the Newspaper in Education Programme for The Times of India in Bangalore. Her interests include school effectiveness research, teacher development, collaborative approaches to teaching and learning, interpersonal communication in the classroom, school-industry links for school improvement, leadership and strategic management of schools.
Maya has been a full-time teacher trainer since 1996, conducting professional development programmes for heads and teachers of schools across the country. She has trained several thousand teachers across India and abroad in the past 12 years.
She is an Accredited Teacher Trainer for Jenny Mosley Consultancies (UK) for training teachers on Whole School Quality Circle Time across schools in India. She is also an Accredited Master Trainer for the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers of the University of Cambridge International Examinations, UK.
Maya has written on issues concerning educational practice and management in leading publications such as The Times of India, The Economic Times and Education World. Between 2000 and 2008 she was the South Asia Editor for ELTeCS (English Language Teaching Contact Scheme), a global network of English Language Teaching professionals spearheaded by the British Council. She continues as a member of the ELTeCS Advisory Team for British Council, London.

Prakash has a Corporate background. He started his career in Hindustan Lever and subsequently worked in senior positions in companies like Madura Garments (as President), at Gillette (as VP-Marketing India and then Regional Business Director Middle East and Africa). His last assignment was at Procter and Gamble (as Marketing Director and Category Leader for Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan). Prakash's core interests are in Branding, Marketing and General Management, and he has a passion for school education. He has been a Trustee with The Teacher Foundation since its inception in 2002 and decided to join full-time in Dec 2009 as Director Development. He is also a marathon runner.

Savita has a background in Microbiology and Biochemistry and has straddled both Research and Teaching. Her research experience started at the CFTRI, Mysore in the Vinology department, and continued in the Research Department of SK &F, Bangalore as a Microbiologist. At Loreto Day School, Calcutta, she taught Chemistry for ten years. She has also worked as an Account Executive in Advertising and Sales Promotion (ASP), Bangalore and in Concept Marketing and Advertising, Bombay. In her previous assignment with the SVGH Education Trust, which put up the Amber Valley Residential School, Chikmagalur, she was the Program Coordinator and helped develop the Science Curriculum.

Sheela has worked with IL&FS Education Technology and Services, Bangalore as Language Coordinator in the Resources & Design Group department where she coordinated the development of multimedia and technology based content in regional languages.
Sheela oversees the work that TTF does in government schools across 6 TTF Centres in Karnataka. Her skills include managing teams, projects and operations

Padmavati has 3 years of teaching experience in Vidya Valley School. She has worked as a project assistant in National Institute of Oceanography, Goa. She has also participated in various workshops related to Value Education, Conservation & Development of the Pune River System, and "Learning Science Heuristically".
