While there can be no single formula for Whole School Change, there can definitely be an informed approach and framework. Based on this TTF has worked out an approach to conducting Whole School Audit, to help schools initiate change.
Target Audience
For Schools that want to do an analysis of their current status and draw up an action plan for improvement. The Whole School Change needs to be triggered by a participatory audit of the school using a School Improvement Framework to identify existing competencies in the four domains namely: Teaching Learning, Student Environment, Leadership and Community Involvement.
Outcome
Given the vision and goals of the school, the feedback of various stake holders and the audit, the school will come up with a detailed plan spanning at least two years. The plan may consist of several sub plans and will include objectives, strategies, resources, responsibilities and time-lines as well as a mechanism for monitoring progress and revising plans should it be deemed necessary.
Duration
The process will take approximately 4 months. The Whole School Audit will take 2 months, involving data collection through observations, interviews – as well as using TTF's School Improvement Framework, and subsequently preparing the report.
