The Teacher Foundation started working with Government Schools in 2006 and has since reached out to over 3000 Teachers, Head teachers and Block & Cluster-level officials, DIET and Government Teacher Training Institute Lecturers and D.Ed Students. TTF has also covered 2 schools in 2008 and has taken up 7 more government schools in Yadgiri under the Whole School Transformation Programme. TTF believes that just working with teachers is not sufficient and hence directs efforts to cover different stakeholders under various programmes to bring about a systemic change in the current educational practices among teachers in state. TTF is currently focused on schools in Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, Yadgiri, Haveri and Hubli districts of Karnataka State.

During 2010-11, we plan to cover over 2000 teachers/head teachers / officials with both sustained and one off programmes. The need for Whole School Intervention is increasing and we would be reaching out to 7 schools in Yadgiri. Our Teacher Resource Centres in Yadgiri, Haveri and Hubli will this year be actively seeking out government school teachers – to energise, enthuse, enable and inspire them !
