The Life Skills Collaborative (LSC)

TTF is a partner organisation in the Life Skills Collaborative (LSC), comprising 17 organisations. TTF is proud to be responsible for building the India Glossary of Life Skills.

As a run-up to developing the Glossary, LSC collaborated with Harvard University's EASEl Labs to map 26 carefully selected SEL and Life Skills Frameworks from India and across the world. (http://easel-india-life-skills-collaborative.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/compare-domains/).

TTF's ISELF was also mapped and has been found to demonstrate the most depth of focus.

The First draft of the India Glossary will be ready by 15th July and include a list of 40 + life skills, their definition, sub-skills, related terms and the manifestation of each skill.

This draft is a culmination of careful literature review of existing frameworks from 7 different regions of the world, research papers related to life skills. In the coming months data from interviews and surveys with national and international experts will also be incorporated.

Webinar with Govt School Teachers in Raigad

Over 290 teachers from around 200 government schools in Raigad participated in a Webinar jointly organised by TTF and Swades Foundation, supported by the Raigad District Education Dept and DIET.
The focus of the webinar was the National Education Policy 2020 and its implications for teachers.

Janardan Bhilare from RZP School Pachhapur, Sudhagad Pali says,'The webinar was well planned and organised. We understood in detail all the components of the NEP. Questions and doubts were resolved properly. The lessons learned here will be put to good use in the future.'

Subject Enrichment Workshops

Through these synchronous and asynchronous workshops, teachers examined how each subject should be taught with subject-specific pedagogical skills. This will enable and encourage critical thinking in students.

Every Teacher,

More Enabled, More Inspired

On average, a teacher teaches 40 children a year.
Over a 25 year career, that is one thousand children.
That means, when we enable and inspire ONE teacher,
we touch over ONE THOUSAND lives.
So contribute to ONE teacher’s training and
touch the lives of a thousand children!
