Schools across India have been out for the summer! In April and May TTF's work with schools shifted to the North, since they close later. And now as schools in the South have re-opened for the new academic year, we're excited to dive back in with renewed energy.
2026 is a milestone year for TTF, we have just officially entered our 25th year! Stay tuned for our plans for TTF's Silver Jubilee. They will unfold in the coming months!
TTF's work with The Life Skills Collaborative
The Life Skills Collaborative (LSC) 2.0 has entered its mobilisation phase, with implementation work formally commencing in June 2026. Following the completion of the collaborative design process, partner organisations have begun work across thematic tracks and state-level consultations.

AI in Education
TTF designed and conducted a 6 module summer course on Artificial Intelligence for educators. The objective of the course was to help teachers engage with AI without losing what makes education deeply human. We had educators from around India participate in conversations that moved beyond 'how to use AI' to deeper questions – what ethical use looks like in the classroom, where to draw boundaries, and how to ensure thinking and judgement aren't outsourced.
The course wasn't about quick fixes or mastering techniques. It gave teachers time to stop and think. There wasn't one right answer – just thoughtful choices that fit each teacher's own classroom. The biggest takeaway: reflection isn't a detour in the age of AI – it may be the most important task at hand for educators today.

Livewires
Livewire is back! These short, contemporary workshops are designed to shake off the post-holiday lull and get teachers re-energized for the year ahead. With a range of programmes to choose from, there's something for every teacher looking to learn on the job, connect with peers, and grow professionally.
Responsive Teachers, Responsible Learners
Over 300 teachers from 6 schools (in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Udaipur/Bhilwara) of The Global Schools Group (GIIS & Witty International Schools) signed up for the workshop on Responsive Teachers, Responsible Learners – a session designed to explore, discuss, and visualise what positive classroom cultures look like.
Kanchan Tiwari from Witty International School, Malad has this to say (translated from Hindi):
'In this workshop, my most important learning was self-assessment through Hay McBer's Framework for Teacher Effectiveness. We often evaluate others quite easily, but accepting our own shortcomings and working on them is not that simple.
This workshop taught me to understand myself better and to work positively on my weaknesses. I express my heartfelt gratitude to The Teacher Foundation. The facilitator's impactful speaking style, engaging activities, and giving every teacher the opportunity to express their thoughts in the language they were comfortable with was deeply inspiring for me. Because of this, I was able to share my thoughts in front of everyone without any hesitation.
Among all the workshops I have attended so far, this one has been the most distinct and my favourite. Today's education system needs many more such meaningful and inspiring workshops. I would love to be part of such workshops in the future as well.'
Whole School Quality Circle Time
"The world becomes what we teach." – Zoe Weil. And perhaps equally true: the world will not become what we don't teach.
Almost 400 teachers from various branches of Heritage Xperiential Learning School across the NCR region and 50 teachers from Sunbeam Group Of Educational Institutions participated in Whole School Quality Circle Time – a programme that creates space for honest, authentic conversations between students and their teachers.
Quality Circle Time explicitly models and teaches the key facets of social and emotional learning – self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills. It also nurtures the fourth R of education – Relationships – through building self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and collaborative skills among both students and teachers.

Sustained Programmes
The Fluency Project
The Fluency Project is a 5-month programme designed to boost English fluency among Ankur Advaith Foundation's Grade 6 and 9 students, while also strengthening their teachers' pedagogical skills in language teaching. Aligned to the language competencies detailed out in NCF 2023, the programme comprises a focus on Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing, along with two weeks of consolidation through real-world interactions and presentations.
English Encounters of a Spoken Kind
32 teachers from two schools – the Gita Krishnamurthy Trust and Sri Jai Sankara Educational Trust – have signed up for the English Encounters of a Spoken Kind programme.
Designed for Indian school teachers with a focus on improving their fluency in spoken English, this 10-day course is open to teachers across subjects who use English as their medium of instruction but haven't yet achieved full fluency in spoken or written skills.
The programme is being conducted in a blended mode – both in-person and online.

Prerana
In June, 44 teachers from Rishi Valmiki Eco School's Goregaon and Manori campuses attended a CPD programme on Learning in Groups and Tools for Active Learning – part of their sustained programme, Prerana. As students returned from their summer break, teachers began embedding these strategies into everyday practice – bringing graphic organisers, structured small-group work, and reflective techniques into classrooms that are often space-constrained.
The shift is visible: more engaged learners, richer peer interaction, and a classroom energy that has moved from teacher-led instruction to shared exploration. At RVES, this is professional development with a clear purpose – ensuring every child experiences learning that is active, inclusive, and joyful.
