Teachers' Day Contest

This year TTF gave away INR 20,000 and gift packs to very deserving teachers for their winning entries for the Teachers' Day Contest. We received over 250 Topic Plans from across India. These were reviewed by a jury of senior TTF facilitators for the following awards:
✔ The most outstanding plan (Overall)
✔ The most creative plan (Second place)
✔ The most inclusive plan (Second place)
✔ Special mentions – best
plan for use of technology, best plan for formative assessment, best plan for student engagement. There were 2 winners for each of these categories.

Aparajita Srivastav from Sunbeam School, Lahartara and Shalini Nandkumar from Fountainhead School, Surat have given their testimonials below for winning the Best Formative Assessment and Best Student Engagement awards respectively.

English Encounters with
Govt. Schools in Karnataka

This online English enhancement course focuses on developing teachers’ spoken skills in English. The project has commenced with 2000 government teachers from across Karnataka.
The objective of this online programme is to help participants:

  • communicate confidently in English

  • enrich their vocabulary and enhance their understanding of grammar

  • improve their intonation, pronunciation and expression

  • identify and correct common errors made in English

  • develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in an integrated manner

This 20 session online programme comprises Baseline and Endline Assessment with pre and post session tasks per session.

Whole School Quality Circle Time 

Teachers from across the country participated in a 4 session online workshop on Jenny Mosley's Whole School Quality Circle Time (QCT).
With a focus on self esteem, collaboration, mutual trust, respect and empathy, these #TTF
SignatureWorkshops enable participants to foster Social and Emotional Learning and Well-being in students and teachers alike.

The workshop helped me to understand how a simple QCT session can make a difference in the teacher - student relationship,” says Suzanna Sequeira from Lodha World School, Palava.

Meanwhile 64 teachers from MatriKiran Junior School, Gurugram also participated in in-person QCT workshops held at their school. Archana Bhargava
 says that one of her big takeaways from the workshop was the importance of developing Self Esteem in students.

Livewire modules 

Despite floods and other calamities acting as deterrents for us, our teachers and students are happy to be back in schools!
And TTF is delighted to be back with them.


A workshop on Classroom Management was conducted by TTF for 22 teachers who specialise in non-academic subjects in Manthan International School.
While asserting that the workshop was extremely useful, the participants also said that Communication, Interactive Activities and Ground Rules were some of the important aspects that they  learnt.

93 teachers attended workshops on Teaching as Relationships and Positive Behaviour Management at St Kabir Public School, Chandigarh. Anamika Sharma, a participant, says that some of her takeaways from the workshop included, 'Giving more positive reinforcements to instil confidence in slow learners and enabling students to be more responsible for their own behaviour.'

India Glossary of Life Skills

TTF is the Glossary track partner of LSC that comprises 18 partner organisations, working in 4 Indian states (Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Mizoram).

The India Glossary of Life Skills Version 1.0 has been available on the LSC website and TTF has been actively seeking feedback from NGO's, other LSC partner organisations and also from state governments. TTF has also translated the Glossary into 3 languages - Hindi, Marathi and Mizo. 2 workshops were conducted with government officials and master trainers - one in Udaipur for the state of Rajasthan and the other in Dehradun for the state of Uttarakhand. Th
eir objective was to validate the Hindi translation of the Indian Glossary of Life Skills version 1.0.
